Wow! I am terrible when it comes to updates but I've been literally all over the place! My hours have been changing constantly at work which has been keeping me away from home a lot. But I have some more amazing news! After working 3 weeks straight I finally received my paycheck! Two at that since I didn't get one last week. Yay for me! Also, I've applied to college and I've been accepted! I'm so excited I don't know what to do with myself! I'm planing to major in Psychology. Classes begin in Fall 2010! I applied for all the grants and what nots. I received one and I'm waiting on the other. In other news I have jury duty in April and my court date regarding my traffic ticket in July. Bah. Lol.

Oh and Endless Horizon has officially been online a whole year (since last month)! Can you believe that! It doesn't even feel as though it's been that long since I decided to close VMF and open this site. Anyway, here's to another year on the web! Will update on Saturday!

I bet you guys have been wondering where I've been...well...I have joined the work force. Yes, it is true. Amidst all the chaos in my last blog, I had a job interview on the 4th of this month. It went well--so well that the same day I was offered the position as a Sales Associate. Can you guess where? I'm an official employee at Staples Copy & Printer Center. Haha. So now I'm working and going to school. So far its been okay. It's a bit of a demanding job but I'm hanging in there. With the hours I work I don't have time update. My day begins at 6am and it doesn't end until 9pm. And now my weekends are gone too because I have to work weekends full shifts then. There's so many rude customers that come into the shop demanding that molehills be made out of mountains. But I guess it's a trade off. It means more money in my pocket for general expenses. The only reason why I was able to update today was because there was no school today. LOL. But I still have to go to work... *sniffles*

I'm beginning to fall off the radar again like I did two years ago and a couple of years before that. It feels like I'm using being personally busy as an excuse not to make some major site changes. But truth be told, I am so exhausted I can't even see straight. So many things have been happening to me lately. Not that they're bad things but its a bit much circling me at once and I'm finding myself backed into a corner. People are expecting of me what I can only hope to bring and my head is just reeling from the challenge.

In other news...On Friday, January 22, 2010, all my late nights cramming sessions, hard work, and dedication paid off and I was able to graduate and get my diploma. You can view it, here. I whited out the necessary stuff. I'm really happy that I got it but I feel that's there more for me to do.

I think this is where my dilemma started. I mean I'm proud of the accomplishes that I have made and grateful for the opportunity that was given to me but I didn't have much time to breathe because not even a week after graduation I began attending classes for Transportation Communications Union (TCU). When I first considered TCU I thought it would be more hands on training available and there isn't. And what's driving me completely insane is all the work involving the computer. For 8 hours straight I sit in front of a computer and speed test. I only get 15 minutes breaks between each class only to go back into the class for more computer staring and silence. I have literally and this is no joke, the SAME instructors for each class. My Learning Lab, Communications and Keyboarding instructor are all the same instructor. She migrates each period. And my Transportation instructor is also my Math instructor! No cell phones are allowed on the floor, no mp3 players, you're required to dress professional one day out of the week AND I am forced to clock in and out like I'm at work and its school...(*dead silence*) I know! That was my initial reaction too but I didn't think it was going to be that bad. I thought, "Hey, I have this. No problem." Wrong. Nope. Maybe I just need to get used to this new atmosphere. I will cope...run...cope! Run! Oh I can't decide...its a toss up!

So today or rather yesterday (Monday going on Tuesday), I took a day off because I woke up with a blazing headache. And I knew I wouldn't be able to function at school like this. But the funny thing is, is that the head blazing I had rid myself of earlier returned like magic (sounds like a cheesy fanfiction the way I'm blogging this doesn't it?) Anyway...it returned...magically...when I realized I had a traffic ticket that's due in like 3 weeks. Yeah, and I totally forgot to blog about this...several times actually. OK so...Here's the rundown...I got the ticket in December 2009...right before Christmas too. And its one of the nasty tickets. It's a red light violation. In my defense, the light was green until I hit the crosswalk then it was suddenly red and I got the ticket mailed to me with photos and all. Lovely photo-enforced intersections. I've never gotten a ticket before so I was baffled when I got it because the damn thing totaled to $510 dollars. At first I thought I could afford to pay it off but $510 dollars?! I'm not a damn ATM. I'm not loaded! Since when does a red light "violation" cost $510 dollars?! I bet a speeding ticket is cheaper! Or hell, the deputy issued ones! It's not like anyone died.

I'm a full-time student and full-time student equals no money. BROKE...yes...I'm BROKE... law enforcement trying to take my liquor store money...anyway I had filed to contest the ticket by appearing it court a few months back but they sent me a letter back stating I had to pay the ticket first to be considered for dismal where they would then issue me my money back in check form if I was found not-guilty. Stupid right? I know. The system is psychotic. I tried phoning the offices. The automated system told me I'd be able to speak to a human clerk but all the service did was redirect me several times. So today I decided to drive down there to see if I could work off the ticket by doing community service, have the ticket decreased, or dismissed. After waiting in a semi long line, in like 5 minutes I got a court date without having to pay a thing. Which is funny too because by the time I do appear in court to contest the ticket it'll be almost a year from the date I initially got the ticket. So there you have it, the system is evil and does not work.

I now have time to update properly! Wow, I'm starting to see some new faces around here! Hello all! Hehe. Anyway as you all have heard from my last update that I'm graduating from charter school. It's a self paced program that I enrolled in about 8 months ago. It's a type of finishing school. I won't go into too much detail about it since this is the net in all. I went a little crazy and bought several outfits and two pairs of heels. I'm just so excited! I got my hair cut and styled. It really needed it because I'll be presenting the work that I've done over the past few months and forced to speak to 3 classes. Yikes! Anywho, I must be off! I'm so tired!

Gah I can't believe I haven't updated since the new year started! I meant to but I've been so busy! First off, I caught a really bad cold so I've been kinda dropping like a light every chance I got. But I feel much better now and of course, more awake. I completed one of the two classes I had left so now I only have math. But I'm almost done! I just have a few more things to complete before I get the final "a-ok you are a graduate!" Oooo I can not wait! I've been staying late working extremely hard to get finished. If only the graduation hadn't been moved to an earlier date I wouldn't feel so rushed. Ah oh well. I will update more soon! You guys are just amazing!

Well... I thought I'd post the very last update of the year 2009. I can't believe how fast the year has gone by. So many things have been achieved yet some others have been lost. Hopefully the year 2010 will be the year of stillness and change. I hope everyone has a Happy New Year! Be safe.

I found the Pop-Up Culprit!

edited// @ 4:25pm
<img src="categories/superman/loisclark5.png" <img src="categories/superman/loisclark2.png" <img src="categories/superman/loisclark3.png" <img src="categories/superman/loisclark1.png"

Site: Oh yes! I found the pop-up culprit and have removed it from the server. I would have never pegged it as the pop-up initiator. And I mean never because it was literally the most UNLIKELY thing ever! And because I’ve used it for most of the years I’ve been on the web and I’ve never had a problem with it before or have I ever had pop-ups. Can you guess what it was? It was my damn Motigo web tracker! I felt so duped because it was the last thing I had ever expected! I’m assuming it was the recent updates the manufacturers put out that caused the massive amount of pop-ups. But never fear, I put up an even more detailed tracker which I’m starting to come around to. I’ve always been curious about the web browsers you guys view the site in so I can make sure to configure to all. One of the worst things is having a website that’s only compatible in one browser and it leaves the other users out in the cold.

I’ve also put up the categories. I’ve been always meaning to do that but again, the procrastinator in me didn’t exactly want to be bothered with creating categories and coding to accommodate said categories. Only the most recent news is set in categories anything else older has not been configured yet. I’ve added some cool new features. Well they at least seemed cool when I thought of it. Lol. I added Site Tips which I will add on to and edit in future and a Coming Soon section which will list site related projects I’m working on. A Review section is honestly coming, along with the fiction achieve. I just haven’t finished with the set up yet. I’m hoping to blow the hats off visitors come opening.

Personal: My Christmas was fun! A bit unusual not to mention nontraditional going on for a few years now but a-okay. There was no gift exchanging this year or last year. Just family, food and movies which was just as good. We watched…

Movie: Bruno

Five Words: Freaking Hilarious. A MUST see! All I have to say is that people should be ashamed of themselves and the lengths they are willing to go to, to be famous.

Movie: Madea Goes to Jail

Surprisingly decent considering I was forced to watch this. It had a great story to work with but it was missing a few key elements and when leading to the climax of the film it fell a little short of the finish line. But not too bad for Tyler Perry.

Movie: The Proposal

Okay movie. Unlikely pair tho. I would have never considered Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds in a romantic comedy together but it seemed to work out. The only problem I had with the film is that I wish there was more romance between the two main characters to make the story seem more believable as well as some individual scenes with Margret to see her away from the office setting to get a true picture of who she really is. I felt the office persona she carried was not her true self. And Andrew seemed to have a change of heart fairly quickly about how he felt about his boss considering he agreed to marry her so she wouldn’t get deported under the condition that she promote him from her personal assistant to editor. Oh and Sandra acts terribly at pretending she can’t swim. Since when do people who don’t know how to swim tread water? Don’t they usually sink due to panic? I never caught on to that.

Movie: A Perfect Getaway

Very predictable film/plot. Most obvious film of 2009. So various newlywed couples are vacating in Puerto Rico, if I remember correctly, and are being murdered and robbed. News coverage has most of the couples in a panic about being murdered yet they all stick around unknowns. So all these couples meet up and the whole movie is them spending a lot of the time speculating which other couple it could possibly be. Personally if I thought someone I was near was a serial killer I would run like hell in the opposite direction, but that’s just me. Anyway the film does speed up after a while and I think the last 20-30 minutes are the most enjoyable of the film.

New Layout: With the help of the lovely Katie @ Midnight Tears I was able to make the layout listed, here. She'd sent me a helpful email on footers and this is what came of that. I hope you guys all like it! I was shooting for a completely different look and I hope I achieved it.The layout was inspired by my obsession with the 90s series of Lois & Clark, starring Dean Cain and Teri Hatcher. I don't have much time to update but HAPPY HOLIDAYS! And another layout will follow. Preferably a New Years layout to celebrate 2010.

Stone-Age Coding?

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!
So yesterday I used a program I'm sure you're all familiar with to create a website. I used the complicated Adobe Dreamweaver. It's a web development application used to create websites. It's a bit different for me using that since I'm so used to coding by hand. Stone-age style, you know? Haha. I've been getting lazy. Anyway, I still don't like the program. I don't know what it is about it. I find it to be a frustrating, not to mention excessively expensive program. All my friends say, "Hey Ariel, why don't you get Dreamweaver? You're stone-age coding!" I think I'll stick to stone-age coding.

Site: I'm currently working on a long awaited retooling of the site. Bare with me because some pages my not be in proper working order. I actually might go on a hiatus for a week because this will take a lot of patience and I'm not typically a patient person. Also the year is coming to a close and I think I might trash all the 2009 news and some other stuff that needs to go ASAP. But one thing at a time. Hopefully by New Years I'll have a nice, clean site-fresh looking site.

MY NEW YEARS RESOLUTION FOR 2010

1. Stop Procrastinating
I'm a huge procrastinator on stuff that I have all the time in the world to complete and I don't want to do that. I want everything to be of importance to me so no more procrastinating...in 2010. Lol. 2009 isn't over yet.

2. Go out more
I'm typically a wall flower. I'm not the partying type. A day of fun for me is drinking root beer float, reading, writing or watching something I'm completely obsessed with. But in 2010, I will go out more. Mingle and make it an effort to socialize more.

3. Be more social
Like number 2, I need to be more social. Not that I'm anti-social or anything I just don't typically engaged in conversation much. I'm not a conversation starter. There was a time when I was but then you get the "Never talk to strangers" lecturer when you're a kid you tend to stray away from all conversation. At least I did.

Oh and as for the pop-ups. I know they exist on the site. I have no idea why. But they're here. I've been trying to figure out why. I use a lot of scripts to keep everything in order and I figure the little annoying bug is in there somewhere. I will find it! You are going down!

So I ended up going to the party after all! It was so much fun!! I might upload some photos of the event once I get my photos developed. Unlike the rest of the world, I'm not as high tech as everyone else. The digital camera I bought a few years back just sucks completely. Anywho, it was an amazing party. It started at 6pm sharp. I got there a little bit late (a little after 6pm) because I got held in traffic but there was actually parking. I was afraid I'd have to park on the street and feed a meter all night but luckily there was a discount provided to us students if we used the parking structure. As they call it, validation. Paying $4.50 vs. $12.25 was a hell of a discount in my opinion. The night started out young and calm. There was a raffle and photos were taken. I didn't win anything but that was a-okay.

They served Iced Tea with lemon on the side and Chicken Alfredo. They also served salads and baskets of assorted bread. There was dancing, something I never expected to do but I did! They even crowned two sets of King and Queens.

My dress was beautiful, my hair came out amazing and my makeup was fantastic! I couldn't believe I had time to pull it all together in literally 2 hours. It didn't really leave me with enough time to get ready but I managed it with 40 minutes to spare before I had to leave. My dress was a hot pink strapless number with two matching flowers on the front off to the side and a tie on the back. I wore black stockings and black heels with diamond stud earrings. As for my hair, it was pinned up in a sort of twisted, unusual bun. I couldn't figure out what to do with it since I have individuals at the moment but it came out great. I will definitely upload photos in the coming weeks. Overall, I had an amazing time. I danced and laughed and took tons of photos whenever I could. I saw friends. I mingled and I ended up staying longer than intended. But I'm glad I did.

In other new, I PASSED MY MATH EXAM! I sadly did fail it on Monday and I was pretty bummed about it which is why I didn't update. But I reviewed a bit and took a mirror test the following day which I passed with an 84%. I'm so excited! Ah yes and tomorrow, or today, haha is my last day! So excited! I will be back soon to report on my issues with the bank. Damn them. Haha.

edited// @ 3:34pm
Oh and I've compiled a list to include the TOP 10 THINGS I DID in 2009. I'm so very proud of myself! The end of the year is coming to a close. Man did it travel by quickly.

TOP 10 THINGS I'VE DONE IN 2009
1. Went back to school
2. Read over 40 novels
3. Got my driver's license
4. Went out of town for the first time in almost 6 years
5. Traveled to another state
6. Road a horse/Drove an All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV)
7. Dated
8. Met some extremely wonderful people who've changed my life
9. Learned how to light a pilot light
10. Kept Endless Horizon open

That concludes this list of 10 things I did in 2009. Not very much but it's fun to reminisce on the things I've done this year. How about you? List your top 10 things! Oh and I can't believe I never added this to the updates. My new wall in conjunction with this layout.

Site: After dealing with fanupdate's CAPTCHA issues I never thought I'd actually get it working! Now comments are enabled for real! Yes, you guys can now leave comments directly on the news and I have the luxury of reading non spam messages due to the help of the CAPTCHA. Oh I am so excited!

Personal: Anyway, my school is having this sort of Winter Formal thing and I've decided to go! I've never gone to one in high school so I've decided to go to this. I have the perfect dress for the occasion! I'm just totally happy. I just need to buy some shoes and hehe, some special you know what's because it's a tight fitting dress and you can see everything! A pair of stud earrings and a pair of Spanx to add depth. Hopefully my next paycheck will cover it because things start adding up you know. Anyway, I have news! I finished Module 2 in Math! I'm studying for the exam for Monday then I get to move on to Module 3, the very last one. I wanted to take the exam yesterday but they were taking so long that I just said forget it, I'll do it on Monday. Next week will be my last week for classes then I'll go on break. I don't know what I'm going to do with myself! Haha.

Lois: Clark, you were sprayed. How come you didn't fall for me?
Clark: I guess I'm just not attracted to you Lois.
Lois: Liar! You are so attracted to me!
Clark: I guess not.
Lois: Guess so.
Clark: Guess not.
Lois: Guess so!
Clark: Look can we get back to the story now, please?
Lois: Fine by me!
--Lois & Clark: New Adventures of Superman (Pheromone, My Lovely 1x10)

Site: I created some new buttons for the site. It's funny because I had only created like literally two or three buttons when I initially opened. But yay, there's two more! Hehe. I also updated several sections that seemed to need updating. One being the disclaimer and about sections.

Personal: Anywho, I'm reading this fantastic book called Notorious by Vicki Lewis Thompson. I really hope this book keeps building to greatness because what I've read so far is just awesome, not to mention funny and sexy. Oh and I'm on my last unit in Module 2 for Math. I can't remember anything from Geometry for anything so it's a bit of an uphill struggle but never fear, I will prevail and when I do...I'll invite you all to my graduation this coming January! Hehe.

I also learned how to light a pilot light today! Haha. It's very sad because I can remove and install a hard drive like nothing but couldn't light a pilot light on a gas heater for anything. But now I know how and I'm so proud of myself. Anyway, it's like 47 degrees here and I'm freezing my ass off. I wore two coats today and I was still cold. I should have considered wearing gloves and two pairs of socks too but I hadn't gathered I'd be THAT cold.

Layout: I was emailed this question and thought it'd be best if I just answered it here. I'm really glad you like my site so much and I'm grateful to have very dedicated visitors who are patient with me surrounding my time to operate the site. I'm a full-time student so I don't really have much free time for anything. But I should have my schedule freed up in the coming weeks. Oh and yes, I do create all my images using Adobe Photoshop 7. Trusty old 7 has been with me since the beginning for about four or five years now. I don't plan on buying any of the newer versions since my own still works perfectly fine. Anyway, I must be off now! I have two weeks off for Christmas so I'll be around!

New Layout: Yes! Finally. Sorry for the super long delay. I hope you all like the new layout! I actually took a great deal of time with the design on this one. I was really shooting for an entirely different look and I must say that it came out absolutely wonderful! Kristen Bell is such an inspiration when it comes to Photoshop work usually within every shoot that she does. But there's just something very striking about this shoot in particular. I'm even inspired to create a wallpaper and icons out of it! I'm also planning on creating at least two more skins. One featuring Lois and Clark from The New Adventures of Superman as well as one of Richard and Kahlan from Legend of the Seeker. Please stand by...

So I've learned my lesson about men. They play a good game. An incredibly good game. I wish I could say I'd seen it coming but I had a feeling. I feel...I dunno...like I learned my lesson about men that'll last me a lifetime. Once you break up with them, you should stay broken up. And run! As fast as you can. Haha. But I'm ok about the whole situation which is the funny thing. I think I feel somewhat relieved because now I know the truth. I don't feel like I lost anything because now I know for sure that I hadn't been rash in my decision to end things with him.

Personal: This week has been filled with more questions than answers. I found out about a week and a half ago that I only have a few weeks left to complete my work to make January Graduation. And to be honest I'm really scared I'm not going to make it within that time frame. I have to reach the deadline or else I'll have to wait until July. The way my school works is that they have two graduations a year and it's a self-paced program. I really wanted January but I don't think that'll be possible. But I won't give up just yet. I have two weeks left in school before Christmas break and I only have two classes left. I've completed most of my core course work. I just need to finish math and this unnecessary elective class that's required.

And last but not least...my ex-boyfriend surprised me the other day by appearing in my class during my break. He wanted to "talk" privately about our relationship and what went wrong in it. He'd been trying to talk to me forever it seems. Or so I heard. But he hadn't made a move until after the fact. I don't know how it happened but we had a really deep conversation that ended up with us kissing. And then getting caught red-handed by my instructor who was more embarrassed by the situation than we were. I don't know what I want from him to be honest. And I don't exactly know what to consider him these days. We haven't exactly talked since that day. What am I supposed to say? How do I respond?

Happy Late Thanksgiving

Happy Late Thanksgiving everyone! So I'm totally in love with a new series as well as a new relationship. I should post all the relationship dynamics that I find intriguing and utterly romantic. I am a hopeless romantic. I'll finally admit it and accept the fact as such. (*grins; a lot*)

Anyway I have four days off from school. Including yesterday, today, as well as Saturday and Sunday. Even though I wish I were off working on an assignment I think this time off is good for me. I know I'm over-worked and tired and I need to pace myself but I can't help working hard to get out and about as fast as I can. I know the odds are working against me and it feels completely impossible right now but I'm trying to find the good in the situation. Maybe a miracle will happen, even though I've never been much of a believer in those, maybe just maybe...something...or someone will finally make a believer out of me.

I spent Thanksgiving at my sister's house. Thank god because I didn't feel like cooking. We had a variety of dishes and it was delicious! Oh and I finally FINALLY found an eyeglass repair kit! I'd been looking all over one and I couldn't believe I'd just happened up on one! My glasses are now even, not loose or sideways. LOL. I felt like a dork walking around with my messed up glasses. Sadly, I only have one pair with a recent prescription in it. Not that I had a lot anyway. I only had two pair of glasses. Haha. But yay!

Long time no updates?!

Personal: Wow! Has it been that long since my last update? I honestly can not believe it! I've been so busy with school and real-life drama that I've completely neglected my poor little site. I keep doing that because I'm terrible at time management. Don't worry, I'm still alive. Good news! I'm almost done with school! Well a portion of it. I'll be studying something else as soon as I've completed. Hopefully Transportation because I love the idea of traveling. I'm highly intrigued by it. I see the world as an intoxicating place--seeing how the other half lives of sorts. So much has happened to me! The year has flown by much like time has. It's crazy!

For starters, I dated for a brief while. It was fun while it lasted but he turned out not to be the man I thought he was. Why is it that all, okay "most" men think about sex, want sex and when you don't give in it's such a huge issue for them? It makes you think, "Wow. What did they do before they met you?" I wish someone could direct me to the site that decipher men's minds because I'd love to know what they're thinking...besides sports and sex. Like most girls, I want my happily-ever-after ending but I won't rush toward it if I'm weary of it and the outcome. Let's just say the aftermath relationship post-break up is never pleasant. Though I wish it were because I'm too old for child-like games.

As for school, I'm designing a home and calculating the Length/Width, finding the area and total building cost. I'm forced to use programs I'm unfamiliar with such as AutoCAD. I mean, who the hell uses AutoCAD? I'd never even heard of this program until I'd started school. It's such a frustrating program when you first start using it. But I guess it takes patience and lots of liquor...lol. Okay, okay. Maybe not liquor...(*grins*)

Site: Sadly, I haven't had time to create a new look for the site. Aside from school/work, birthdays, new life and recycling...hehe...I haven't been able to set aside time for other things important to me. I've been so worried about my kid sister. She recently gave birth to a baby girl named Heaven. I'm an aunt for a second time coming. Though I'm worried she won't finish her education; I am proud that she was brave during the pregnancy. Surprising not afraid of her impending motherhood. Had I been in that position I would have been shedding bricks! I tell everyone when asked that I don't want children in my life but in reality I do. In time is my new answer though. I certainly can't raise any children in my position. I have to finish what little education I have left and finish discovering little quirks about myself and exploring the world with eyes wide open. Anyway, I must be off. Thank you to everyone who is still supportive of me and respect what I'm trying to do. I wish I could say that about others but it's hard keeping friends when they aren't acknowledging that you're trying to move forward rather than back. Until then...

I passed my Excel exam! I am done with certification tests because I have them all now! I am so freaking excited I could just...I could just...I don't know! Lol. The last of my worries are over. Well most but one of my biggest worries are out of the way now and I'm glad. My week has been so hectic but its slowing down. Yes yes! I am so proud of myself! Thanks for the support everyone and I will do as promised toward the site because it truly needs it. I've just been so focused on my studies. I am honestly tired of looking at this layout so the first thing I'm going to do is change the look and feel of the site. Any suggestions? Something light, dark or Halloween themed? Please leave your suggestions on the tag board!
